Our Mission
We believe every child deserves the opportunity to experience the transformative power of the performing arts, regardless of financial circumstances or educational background.
The Young Actors Theater Arts Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to high-quality theater arts programming and experiences for youth. We create opportunities that empower young artists to discover their voice, develop their talents, build confidence, and thrive both on stage and beyond.
What We Do
Our work centers on three areas that expand access and create meaningful opportunities for young artists:
Conservatory Programming
We provide conservatory-style theater arts training that helps young artists develop their skills, explore their creativity, and grow through immersive performing arts experiences.
Scholarships
We offer need-based and merit scholarships that expand access, recognize achievement, and support young artists in pursuing their goals.
Community Initiatives
We develop community-based theater arts programs, partnerships, workshops, and other initiatives that create opportunities for young people to experience and participate in the performing arts.
Why the Arts?
The performing arts teach far more than music, dance, and theater.
They foster creativity, confidence, communication, discipline, collaboration, empathy, and resilience. They encourage young people to take risks, solve problems, support one another, and discover their unique voice.
For many young people, the arts become a place where they feel seen, valued, and inspired to reach their full potential.
We believe these experiences can have an impact that reaches far beyond the stage, creating stronger individuals, stronger families, and stronger communities.
