There’s something incredibly special about live theater. It gives young people a place to belong, a place to grow, and a place to discover parts of themselves they may not have known were there.

My love of the performing arts, my experience as a mom, and my passion for creating meaningful spaces for young people have shown me firsthand the impact theater can have on a young person’s life. It builds confidence and creativity while teaching resilience, empathy, courage, communication, discipline, and collaboration. Those experiences can shape who young people become long after they leave the stage.

The Young Actors Theater Arts Foundation was created from the belief that more young people should have access to those experiences, regardless of financial circumstances or educational background. Through conservatory programming, scholarships, and community initiatives, we are working to remove barriers and create more ways for young artists to learn, participate, and grow through the performing arts.

We believe young artists thrive in environments where they feel supported and valued while also being challenged to grow. Creativity and self-expression can exist alongside discipline, dedication, and high standards. When young people are given both encouragement and the opportunity to challenge themselves, they can discover not only what they are capable of as artists, but what they are capable of beyond the stage.

My hope for the Foundation is that it continues to open doors, build connections, and create experiences that make a lasting difference in the lives of young people and families throughout our community.
